A legal writer trained by some very good lawyers, I offer a variety of services revolving around researching and drafting legal documents and briefs.
For which I ask $65 per hour.
And I am happy to negotiate flat fees for fully defined services.
I have extensive experience with: Contracts and Leases; Civil Procedure; "Complaints", Demurrers, Answers, Cross-Complaints; drafting Discovery; a wide variety of motion practice, including Anti-SLAPP and Summary Judgment Motions; incisive research and reporting regarding legal issues; drafting and responding to Demand or Meet-and-Confer Letters; Arbitration Petitions and Briefs; Trial Preparation and Practice; Domestic Violence Restraining Order applications; Real Estate and Business Litigation; and Personal Injury cases.
I also have experience with Family Law, Insurance Coverage issues and litigation; and Appeals.
(I would not be the person to call in regard to: Bankruptcy, Immigration Law, or Unlawful Detainer litigation.
) I have also occasionally successfully carried out unusual one-of-a-kind assignments such as: negotiating on behalf of a vendor an amicable settlement of a claim by the purchaser (an eminent San Francisco attorney) of a defective product; and helping an entrepreneur negotiate the terms of a lease on restaurant space.
