We work in the office one to two days a week and then remotely the rest of the week.

\*\*Essential Job Qualifications:\*\*
- Graduate of an ABA accredited law school.
- California-licensed attorney.
- 4-7 years of experience working as an immigration attorney in the areas of family and humanitarian based immigration, removal defense, and/or SIJ cases.
- Ability to appear in person in court or at USCIS offices in the Bay Area.
\*\*Preferred Qualifications:\*\*
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
\*\*Job Responsibilities:\*\*
- Represent clients in various immigration matters in front of federal immigration agencies, including family-based petitions, applications and waivers, humanitarian immigration cases, including VAWA, U and T visa cases, and removal defense cases.
- Represent immigrant youth in parentage, custody, guardianship and requests for SIJ findings in California state courts.
- Supervise work of paralegals, legal assistants, interns, and administrative staff as needed;
- Ensure entry of timely, accurate, and detailed case data in online case management system
- Ensure that client legal and filing fees are paid prior to submission of applications or prior to hearings.
- Represent Adelante Legal through public speaking at professional association events, CLE events, on social media channels, and/or in media interviews;
- Other duties as assigned.
\*\*Work Conditions/Physical Demands:\*\*
- Prolonged periods of work on a computer.
- Ability to appear in person in courts around the the Bay Area as required.
\*\*Compensation/Benefits:\*\*
- Competitive compensation based on experience.
Compensation is structured as a base salary plus a year-end bonus that will be issued if hourly billing and other work goals are met.
