*Immigration Paralegal (Specializing in Asylum, EOIR, and Court Cases)*
*Job Duties:*
*Case Preparation and Management:*Review and analyze asylum, EOIR, and other immigration-related court cases.
Prepare case briefs, affidavits, declarations, and other supporting documents.
Organize and maintain client files ensuring all necessary documentation is collected and properly stored.
Coordinate with attorneys to ensure that all case deadlines are met in a timely manner.
*Legal Research:*Stay updated with the latest changes in immigration laws, particularly those relating to asylum and EOIR cases.
Research and compile relevant case law, regulations, and statutes to support legal arguments.
*Client Communication:*Conduct client interviews to gather detailed information about their immigration history and current circumstances.
Keep clients informed of case progress, upcoming court dates, and any other pertinent information.
Respond to client queries in a timely and professional manner.
*Document Drafting:*Draft asylum applications, EOIR motions, appeals, and other related legal documents.
Prepare court submissions, including supporting documents, evidence, and briefs.
*Liaison with Government Entities:*Communicate with U.
S.
Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and other relevant government agencies.
Schedule and confirm hearing dates and submission deadlines.
*Court Appearances:*Assist attorneys during court appearances, ensuring that all necessary documents are readily available.
Take detailed notes during hearings for case follow-up.
*Post-Judgment Actions:*Coordinate with clients and attorneys for post-decision actions, such as appeals or other remedies in case of an adverse decision.
Assist in the preparation of appeal documentation and submission.
*Administrative Duties:*Monitor case management software and tools to ensure that all tasks are completed.
Prepare billing and invoicing related to asylum, EOIR, and court cases.
