Donahue Fitzgerald LLP has an opening for an Intellectual Property Transactional Associate Attorney to work with its IP and Music practices in its Oakland Office.
Donahue’s music practice is artist-focused, with many prominent clients.
Our IP practice provides sophisticated legal services for a diverse group of interesting and well-respected clients.
We are seeking an associate with at least 4+ years’ experience.
Candidates must have experience drafting, revising, and reviewing licensing agreements, distribution agreements, and contracts.
Prior legal experience in music and/or entertainment, and general business transactional matters, desired.
Candidates will also have a broad knowledge of copyright, trademark enforcement, and patent enforcement, IP aspects of M&A transactions, the music business, and general IP work.
Qualified candidates will be entrepreneurial self-starters, have excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple assignments, working directly with clients, partners, and other colleagues.
Candidates should have a collegial and mutually supportive attitude, interested in and open to mentoring, and be willing to participate actively in marketing efforts.
The candidate must be an active member in good standing with the State Bar of California.

The estimated annual base salary range for this position is $135,000 - $160,000.
Salary determinations are made based on numerous factors including, but not limited to years of relevant experience and job knowledge required for this role.
Additional compensation includes hours based and origination bonuses.
The annual minimum billable hours requirement for this position is 1,610.
