Timberwing Urban Sawmill provides mobile sawmill services to the Bay Area.
Based out of Sebastopol, CA, we can bring the mill to your log! Run by a professional woodworker, we can help you create the ideal list of lumber for your needs AND cut it to spec, leaving you with a cleanly stacked resource for future projects around the house.
We specialize in those heirloom trees that you might have grown up alongside and now need to come down.
Rather than letting a tree service cut that tree up and send it to the mulch pile you can hire us to turn that valued tree into valuable lumber.
We have also worked with developers, vineyards and municipalities to help clear land for future development and growth.
Rates run $150/hour for the mill plus an operator, plus a small setup fee to cover mileage to and from the destination.
I run an LT40 Super Wide rated for 675 board feet per hour with a nicely stacked log deck, this amount will vary depending on log quality, location and help provided.
This works out to a tremendous value, with most hardwood lumber material running over $5/board foot you can get your tree milled for less than $1/board foot! Whether it's 1 log or 100, we can get the job done for you.
