Elder Companionship and Hiking in Marin County (larkspur)

Hello! In March I will have part-time availability for companionship and hiking with older folks here in Marin.
This is a service for people who still like to enjoy the outdoors but may have health conditions and could benefit from the oversight and care of an experienced outdoors guide.
Over the past two years, I have led over 400 miles of hiking through the area from Drake’s Bay to the Golden Gate.
I am a Marin native and have a deep knowledge of all trail systems in the watershed, state and national parks.
I also can work with any hiking ability level and am sensitive and attentive to any health concerns, including memory loss.
About myself: I am a working artist (photography and music) who came back to Marin about two years ago after many years in New York City and Los Angeles.
I studied here in the bay at UC Berkeley and Mills College.
I work primarily as a photographer for commercial clients in technology and design.
I took up hiking with an elderly gentleman in 2022 and discovered it was great fun and a great way to create meaningful and active work outdoors.
I am an avid surfer, climber, mountain biker and hiker with a strong background in the outdoors, backpacking, wilderness safety and fitness.
Having grown up in the area, I can quickly improvise fun itineraries of any length or difficulty level for any season.
I have worked with Independent Care Insurance before as a provider and can provide references as well.
