Bible/religion studies group (all religion friendly) (berkeley)

I’m looking to start a religion studies group over tea on Mondays in the Berkeley area.
In this group I’d like to cover biblical texts as well as texts from other religious teachings, especially Buddhism and those that other group members might find interesting.
The purpose of this group would be to conceptualize the “moral of the stories” so to speak, attempting to understand the social lessons imparted by these stories without taking them literally.
I was raised Christian, and never believed in the Christian god, but have an interest in spiritual development and morality.

My preferred availability would be every other Sunday in either the late morning or early afternoon.
I am a graduate student studying biology at Berkeley and enjoy finding the spiritual connection to the living world around me.
This group is for all religious backgrounds.
