I applaud you for being Diligent in not letting scammers buy or adopt your pets for resale as you know they will try to negotiate with you.
Tips for identifying scam or fraudulent animal posts:

Not all, but Some are scams, they don’t have animals for sale; they just want to trick you into sending a deposit or to collect your personal information.
Some Might be backyard breeders, raising animals for profit, and lying about their "pedigrees".
Here are some ways to identify a scam ad:
-CHECK THE PHONE AREA CODE HERE ARE SOME EXAMPLES OF KNOWN SCAMMERS USING AREA CODE SUCH AS 2zero9, 8one2 is (southern INDIA) really!! AMONG OTHERS, THEY WILL STATE THEY MOVED AND LIVE IN YOUR AREA, ASK A QUESTION ABOUT THE CITY THAT THEY FOR SURE WOULD KNOW TO VALIDATE INDIVIDUALS TRUTH!
-Phone number or email address WRITTEN ON the picture.
-Requiring a DEPOSIT before allowing you to see the Pet and confirm the sellers legitimacy.
-Seller giving you the run around YET insisting you send money IMMEDIATELY.
-Having you send money other than to their EXACT BANK ACCOUNT, for example Chase, Bank of America etc.
not providing you there First and Last Name to match account, scammers will giving you alternatives NAMES to send money through institutions such as Venmo, Zelle etc.
excuses such as money going to a family member or selling for a friend etc.
-Pictures obviously swiped from the internet, looking like they were taken by a professional.
-Pictures of animals inside a car
-attempts to spell out the phone number in the post
-Phone Area Code suspicious
-Pictures of the animals blurred looking manipulated and doctored
-Mixed loWer cASe anD UpPer CaSe letters.
-Misspelling the animals breed
-Use of symbols //- along with++++ letters.
-vocabulary and misspellings in their post.
