Napa Backyard Chickens was established to promote the enjoyment of chickens in a small scale, backyard setting.
Watching chickens interact and forage provides hours of entertainment.
And of course, EGGS!
Many municipalities have ordinances that allow a small flock of chickens.
Roosters are not normally allowed in a city setting.
Because of this we offer mainly pullets (young hens).
Roosters are occasionally available, email us if you are looking for a certain breed!
We specialize in rare breeds that are not only beautiful to look at but are layers as well.
Colored egg layers are our specialty.
Some of the breeds we offer include; Ameraucanas, Buff Orpingtons, Speckled Sussex, Marans, Wyandottes (Blue Laced Red, Silver Laced), Polish (Silver Laced, Buff Laced, White Crested Black, Tolbunt), Salmon Faverolles, Welsummers, Cream Legbars
