Nucs - bees for sale - $250 (lafayette / orinda / moraga)

Nucs are a great way to get started beekeeping.
You start with a mated queen and worker bees on 5 frames built out with a mix of brood, honey and pollen.
If you buy locally, you know the bees came from a successful colony that survived your winter in good shape.
Installing nucs is much simpler than packaged bees and you don't have to wait 21 days for new workers to emerge.
These nucs will have a new 2024 queen and come from strong colonies that successfully made it through winter in Orinda.
I treat mites with formic acid, oxalic acid vapor, culling drone brood, and screened bottom boards, all of which are considered Organic Apiculture.
I can deliver to you in Orinda, Lafayette or Moraga and help install.
Delivery will be roughly late march to early april.
