Red buds are a 40 year bouquet, they grow tall but can be pruned to a bush, they are indigenous to California, although these are eastern redbud,which are thriving more than the indigenous varieties here in these times! Good at holding the soil, especially near waters edge, have drop beautiful heart-shaped leaves and their pink blossoms feed the bees, even if only for a short time in the spring.
