Only Two Wheels? Believe or not, it makes a lot of sense for small farms and vineyards.
Especially with hills! Notice the woman in first picture is working from the side of the tiller (just how you do it on a hill) ** We have a small vineyard (about 700 vines) and several gardens that we farmed ourselves.
Buying a regular tractor was not feasible due to costs, storage requirements, need for expensive attachments,.
A friend mentioned these Italian Two Wheel tractors.
Perfect for the small vineyard or large garden.
In one word: ROBUST.
It has the power to roto-till far better than the tillers, but it is not quite a Kubota! ** Method: Drive it to the start of the first row, adjust the digging depth, put on your gloves and walk behind this friendly beast.
It never let us down.
I start at 6" to 8" down to break the ground, then return for a second 4"-6" pass to pulverize the dirt.
** The 722 has several unique features: 1) PTO - power take off to make your equipment WORK for you (2) Handles rotate 180 degrees, depending on accessory used.
(3).
two speeds forward, 2 speeds backwards ** I was visiting Calabria Italy a few years ago.
Saw the BCSs chugging their way up and down the Calabrian mountain vineyards.
No one would dare use a regular tractor.
Plus their owners loved to chat with an American owner.
** But wait, there's more:The marvelous Brush Mower (like a Bush-Hog) - two swinging blades turn for overgrown areas.
Switching from one tool to the other is about five minutes.
Rotate the handle bars; detach the tool; attach the other.
** Do you have a parcel too hilly, rough, etc.
to plant? Three steps: Brush Mower to clear the jungle from the parcel; 2) Rear Tine Tiller to break up the ground pulverizing the big clods; 3) Tiller at lower depths to render fine soil for planting.
(sometimes twice for ultra fine vegetable soil) ** From: https://www.
