Dynaco ST70 For your consideration is this completely restored and upgraded Dynaco ST-70, putting out a solid 35w per channel of sweet tube power.
This amp has been fully rebuilt, with all new switches, film and electrolytic caps, metal film resistors, new Triax choke, new wire and tubes.
It has upgraded gold plated input RCA jacks, upgraded gold plated speaker terminals that take wire or banana plugs, heavy duty 3-prong power cable and a standby switch for either solid-state or tube rectification.
I am currently running it SS as I think the bass is tighter, but it will come with a 5AR4 tube if you like that sound.
The input board has been replaced with a Tubes 4 Hifi PCB Input Board ($225)- “our "classic version" VTA70 modification is newly upgraded with a CCS (constant-current-source) in the "long-tailed" phase inverter for perfect AC phase balance, and is still the premium ST70 modification available on the market.
It has an upgraded bias supply and 4 individual bias adjustments, one for each output tube.
” It has the SDS Labs upgraded capacitor board ($129) - https://store.

Currently running a matched quad of JJ EL34’s, which I think strike the best balance between clarity and warmth.
The three input tubes are JJ ECC802S and are very clear and quiet.
Holds bias with no deviation.
I am a certified tube amp tech, and have owned a guitar repair shop in SF for 22yrs.
This is my personal amp, and you’ll never find one as lovingly gone through as this.
I poured over every detail with no thought of time or money.
You would never pay to have this amp made because the labor would be ridiculously expensive.
This will be a reliable and fantastic cornerstone of any system.
But how does it sound? Well, amazing.
So clear with crisp highs, tight bass and beautiful mids.
No errant noise, and it gets really loud.
I’m only getting rid of it as we are downsizing and I can’t have the big system anymore.
I’ll have it hooked up to a set of B&W 703’s for testing, with vinyl or CD.
Of course the iPhone recording is not representative of sound quality, only of functionality.
https://youtu.
be/nrlmBS-Qo5k It has some pitting on the chassis chrome, but it is not visible with the cage on.
You just won’t find a more reliable, better sounding, tube amp.
