This is a voluntary summer position.
Programs will be held on campus and follow COVID-19 safety rules.
Summer programs will continue to follow any and all public health guidelines regarding COVID, as applicable.
JOB DESCRIPTION Teach a classroom of newly-arrived (newcomer/refugee) English-Learner students.
Within the context of English Language Development (ELD): Follow and use grade and subject matter appropriate curriculum Exhibit and utilize effective classroom management techniques Use culturally relevant pedagogy Design and implement differentiated instruction and assessments for various skill levels and learning types QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS CLAD/BCLAD Valid teaching credential Training and experience in the specific programs are required Must be proficient in standards-based instruction and assessment Demonstrate ability to motivate at-risk youth Per OEA contract Article 23.
