Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently transport vehicles to designated locations
- Load and unload vehicles onto car hauler trailers
- Secure vehicles using straps, chains, or other appropriate methods
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the car hauler trailer and vehicle being transported
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while operating the car hauler trailer
- Communicate with dispatch to receive pick-up and delivery assignments
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle transportation activities
Qualifications:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial driving, preferably with experience in car hauling or similar field
- Proficient in route driving and navigation skills
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles
- Knowledge of proper loading and securing techniques for various types of vehicles (e.
g.
, refrigerated trailers, tractor-trailers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, flatbeds)
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus
- Basic automotive repair knowledge is preferred
