Mission of the Position
Able to drive up to 53 feet trailers.
Responsible for the effective and efficient operation,
management and maintenance of TIOB bottling line.
Also, responsible for increasing
awareness of Safety, Quality, and Professionalism required in our daily business
relationships.
Key Job Functions and Responsibilities
Able to drive up to 53 feet trailers
Operate all bottling line equipment including filler, corker, screwcapper, capsule
dispenser, spinner, labeler, taper, etc.
Complete or oversee all pre-bottling setup and sanitation.
Perform and record Quality Assurance tests on wine and packaging throughout bottling.
Perform preventative maintenance on bottling equipment.
Supervise hourly bottling employees to ensure quality and consistency of work being
performed.
Use technical experience to troubleshoot, adjust, and repair bottling equipment.
Responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
Follow safe operating procedures, support safety programs and policies to safeguard
personal safety, company property, environmental and team member’s safety.
Identify, analyze and resolve issues affecting production.
Provide leadership and expertise to the bottling department in concert with other facility
functions to manufacture finished goods that meet company objectives in quality, volume,
and timing.
Ensure the bottling process is as efficient and safe as possible.
Responsible for start-up, operation, change over, shut down and preventative
maintenance of all bottling equipment.
Record keeping, logging, inventory of parts and supplies.
Job Requirements
Strong Customer Service and Satisfaction skills and understanding.
Understanding and aptitude that 10 to 11-hour days are normal.
Pro-active, self-motivated, and displays leadership qualities.
Understanding of Sterilization and its impact on the bottling process.
Knowledge of Sparging, Filling, Corking, Foil Spinner application, Screw Capping, Label
Application (pressure sensitive) and packing.
Ability to problem solve.
Knowledge of how to bubble point.
Knowledge of wine hose sterilization.
Understanding the effects of oxygen pick-up and appropriate levels.
Understanding, implementing, and maintaining high quality standards for the customers
finished products.
Ability to effectively communicate to Winery Staff, TIOB Staff, and others our
specifications, expectations, and what can be expected from our services in any given
situation.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Class A driver’s license.
Valid California driver’s license
Traffic laws/ DOT regulations/ driving knowledge
Pallet jack experience required; forklift experience preferred
Ability to lift 50 pounds throughout day
Able to pass random drug tests
Clean driving record
No DUI/DWI convictions in the past seven years
Listening and verbal communication skills
Dependability
Strong Maintenance, Mechanical, and Electrical background.
21+ years of age.
Bilingual skills in Spanish is a plus, but not necessary
