Laboratory Courier and Sampler

*Laboratory Courier and Sampler* *Location: Petaluma, CA* At Alpha Analytical Laboratories, we are committed to providing consistently reliable data, personal service, and analytical support to the California environmental sector.
Our clients range from local homeowners to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
We specialize in the analysis of potential contaminants in drinking water, bottled water, wastewater, recycled water, ground water, storm water, and the characterization of aqueous and solid matrices for hazardous waste determination.
We are looking for a qualified *Lab Courier and Sampler* to undertake a variety of courier needs.
You will be providing a courier service in a company vehicle.
You will be responsible for receiving, handling, collecting and properly documenting environmental samples being processed by the laboratory.
In addition, you will be expected to help maintain organization and cleanliness within the lab.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a laboratory setting and have experience driving and scheduling routes.
The successful candidate will be trained to maintain safety conditions and will be a flexible team-player.
Responsibilities - Courier and Sampling Support: · Providing a courier service that includes most of Sonoma County and occasional trips throughout the Bay Area.
· Receiving and handling environmental samples utilizing the appropriate documentation.
· Sample collection and transportation.
· Safely disposing of waste into designated containers.
· Assisting with cleaning laboratory equipment and sample containers.
Requirements and skills · Experience working as a courier/driver.
· Ability to work as a team with supervisors’ direction.
· Attention to detail when managing different tasks simultaneously.
· Flexibility in workflow and priorities; guidance will be provided.
· Ability to take initiative and be proactive with responsibilities and duties.
· Positive attitude *Education and Experience:* * High School Diploma or equivalent required.
* One year of experience in a laboratory environment preferred.
* Valid CA driver's license.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.
