*Position Opening: Part-time Driver*
AnimalBiome seeks a Part-time Driver to join our growing team in Oakland, California.
*About AnimalBiome:*
Founded in 2016, AnimalBiome is an Oakland-based biotech company that uses cutting-edge microbiome technology to analyze and restore the gut health of cats and dogs.
Imbalances in a pet’s gut microbiome are tied to an increased risk for many health issues, including those related to digestion, skin, and weight.
At AnimalBiome, we use both dietary interventions and fecal transplants to restore balance to the microbiomes of sick pets.
*About the Position*
This is a part-time hourly position.
Approximately 15 -25 hours per week.
Great position for someone needing a regular Monday - Friday shift starting at 8:30 - 10:30 am to around noon/1pm, or whenever route is complete.
Start time is dependent upon route assigned.
In the summer months, drivers alternate driving on Sundays, anytime between 9am and 2pm.
Drivers pick up fecal donations from dog & cat donors and deliver collections back to our laboratory.
Drivers communicate pertinent info via Slack to various other teams while on their route.
May also need to deliver outgoing packages to delivery partners such as USPS, UPS, Fed Ex & DHL.
Must have valid drivers license and reliable vehicle.

Must be self-motivated, organized, detail oriented, and able to prioritize workload.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can self-teach as needed.
*Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:*
* Picking up bagged poop donations from donor pets outside their house
* Providing friendly service to our donor families
* Communicating regularly with the Donation Recovery Unit
* Deliver packages to shipping partners (UPS, FedEx, DHL, USPS)
*Preferred Qualifications:*
* Familiar with using an iPad
* Familiar with the East Bay area
* Customer service experience
* Adaptable to startup environment
* Familiar with Slack communication
* Familiar with Google Sheets
*Required Qualifications:*
* Strong communication skills
* Attention to detail
* Passion for helping pets in need
* Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
* Must pass background and DMV check
* Strong problem-solving skills
* Proficient computer skills and ability to navigate various software applications
* Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for 4-hour shifts.
* Flexibility to work a minimum of 15hrs/week, and up to 25hrs/week
*Schedule:*
Monday - Friday: starting between 8:30 - 10:30 (depending on assigned route) until route is complete
Sunday: hours are flexible starting between 9am and 2pm.
(only in hotter months where Bay Area temperatures reach above 80 degrees, generally July & August)
