SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Meal Delivery Drivers responsibilities include the willingness to adhere to assigned delivery routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws.
Strong time management and customer service skills.
Assembly and packaging of meals for delivery, maintenance of the overall cleanliness, safety, and sanitation of delivery vehicles and food-storage facilities, Successful candidates must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, including reaching, bending, kneeling, and stooping within the daily routine of tasks and activities.
The successful candidate will possess a willingness to learn a range of kitchen operations.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
Loading, transporting, and delivering meals to SIP Hotel residents in a safe, timely manner
Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete
Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles
Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules
Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record
Preparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries
Work closely with and providing support to the Kitchen Coordinator and Kitchen Assistants
Follows proper food handling to maintain food quality and ensure food safety
Adheres to all health and safety policies, maintains clean and safe work environment; performs job safely
Responsible for maintaining the highest standards of personal hygiene and appearance
Must attend all meetings and perform all tasks as assigned by Kitchen Coordinator

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/DEGREES REQUIRED: Qualified applicants must have a valid California Food Handlers certification.
Qualified applicants must have a valid California drivers license and clean DMV record.
Insurability is required.
Qualified applicants must also successfully complete finger imaging investigatory check.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Requirements: Experience in food/meal delivery, knowledge of San Francisco streets and motor vehicle laws, institutional food services, proper food handling, kitchen sanitation is strongly preferred.
Knowledge and experience in human services agencies including those that work with homeless, mentally ill, or substance abuse populations will also be a plus
