*Mosaic Companies* is searching for a *Driver* with a Commercial Driver's License A that will be responsible for picking up and delivering materials to customer locations or between warehouse locations in compliance with state and federal regulations utilizing a motor vehicle (straight truck), including operating a piggyback and forklift, etc.
The Driver reports directly to the Warehouse Manager and will interface with the Assistant Warehouse Manager, and the Branch Manager.
*What you will do*
* Drives straight truck (CDL Class A or B drivers) to deliver materials to customer locations and/or move materials between warehouse locations
* Verify materials loaded on truck with Warehouse Manager, Assistant Warehouse Manager.
Ensures that proper paperwork is delivered with shipment and receipts for deliveries are signed.
* Ensures that all shipping documents (i.
e.
, manifest, security seal sheet, bills of lading, shipping orders or freight bills, etc.
) required to move with shipments is available for inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies shipment when delivered.
Confirms material loaded or picked up is accurate and cross-referenced against the paperwork.
* Ensures that materials are properly loaded and secured on trailer before departure to ensure minimal risk of damage to cargo and endangerment of persons.
* Inspects truck for defects and safe operating conditions before, during and after trips.
Performs routine maintenance checks on truck and trailer (tires, oil, water) to Department of Transportation (DOT) standards.
* Maintains records required for compliance with state and federal regulations, including Department of Transportation (DOT) driver’s Electronic logs, records of fuel purchases, mileage records and other records required by law and the organization.
* Reports any delays due to breakdowns, weather or traffic conditions or other emergencies; or, in the event of irregularities related to pickup or delivery of cargo.
* Reports damage to merchandise, faulty equipment or any other safety hazard to appropriate manager or supervisor.
* Performs duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and in compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
* Completes appropriate training to operate equipment.
* Follows established operational and safety policies and procedures.
* May be required to perform other warehouse functions, as needed.
Ability to work in all weather conditions.

*Skills we are excited about*
* Three to five years experience driving a commercial truck or tractor-trailer required
* High school diploma, GED or equivalent preferred.
* Valid State of Georgia Commercial Driver’s License Class “A” or Class “B” with a safe driving record required.
* Good interpersonal skills to interact with co-workers, vendors and customers.
* Good oral communication skills.
Bilingual skills in English and Spanish preferred, but not required, to communicate with co-workers, vendors, and customers.
* Ability to drive long-haul routes with overnight stays as needed.
* Must be able to meet the medical standards required by the Department of Transportation (DOT) and have a valid DOT medical card that has not expired.
* Working knowledge of vehicle safety and control systems.
* Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations governing safe driving, hours of service, inspection, and maintenance.
* Knowledge and ability to maintain electronic logbooks and trip reports to Department of Transportation (DOT) standards.
* General knowledge of warehouse systems and procedures including safety regulations.
* Availability to work Saturday hours.
* Maintain good relationships with clients.
* General warehouse duties when not on deliveries.
* Performs additional duties as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $54,800.
