Moffatt & Nichol is deepening our specialization in bridge inspection and preservation projects.
We are actively looking for a Bridge Program Manager who will focus on Quality Assurance to join our talented team as we lead the industry through the challenges ahead.
This position will be responsible for engineering services relating to the National Bridge Inspection Standards and the preservation of bridge assets for local, state, and federal agencies.
The successful new hire may be seated in any of the following California offices: Costa Mesa, Long Beach, Oakland or Walnut Creek.

Further develop our Quality Management System with policies and procedures that align with the NBIS Final Rule, SNBI, and in compliance with the Moffatt & Nichol QMS quality program Provide authoritative technical assessments, interpretation of NBIS requirements (especially as they relate to various State Transportation Agencies), and recommendations for prioritized corrective measures, resilient repairs and preservation techniques, and associated estimated costs Provide guidance and support to associated bridge maintenance and rehabilitation opportunities and projects Manage the training and development needs in accordance with allocated budgets Guide and support the career development of Moffatt & Nichol staff in various offices Provide leadership, mentorship, technical training, and project support to engineering condition assessment teams across the company Regularly engage with leadership committees and stakeholders to create, communicate, and implement strategic growth plans Manage the development and implementation of internal training programs as directed by the I&R Discipline Lead Support the I&R Discipline Lead as a hiring manager for select positions Lead bridge inspection proposals and interviews for select projects Direct supervision of select I&R management staff Review operational inefficiencies for improvement Coordinate with stakeholders to guide our ongoing digital transformation efforts Support the expansion of Moffatt & Nichol’s network of bridge transportation clients and field engineering services Serve as the Project Director for select bridge inspection projects as needed Provide technical programmatic support to our Project Managers serving bridge clients Support the advancement of technical innovations that provide value to Moffatt & Nichol clients and staff Consult with state and federal bridge clients to support them and improve their operations in accordance with FHWA NBIP Metrics Engage with federal clients to maintain relationships, monitor satisfaction, promote our services, and guide industry changes Promote excellence and invigorate a culture of exceptionalism Participate in external professional activities including conference and committee work, where it is consistent with the development and delivery of the business objectives Other duties: Please note this job posting is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required Master’s degree in Structural Engineering is preferred Professional Engineer (PE) licensure with ability to obtain reciprocity in other states is required Intimate knowledge and experience with relevant codes and standards Minimum 15 years of successful bridge inspection experience is required NHI-130055 and NHI-130053 certifications at minimum are required; NHI-130078 and NHI-130110 are preferred Working knowledge of specialty access (diving, climbing, drones, UBIV) operations is required.
SPRAT and ADCI certifications are preferred Valid driver’s license in good standing All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171 Moffatt & Nichol uses E-Verify and employment is contingent upon the legal ability to obtain employment in the U.

and to present the required documentation at hire Base salary range: $127,300 to $155,500 based on years of experience, level of education obtained, professional registration, and meeting required qualification in job description.
Base salary range only applicable for candidates who will be hired and working in the California market.
Physical requirements: The role requires working in office space, interacting with clients, and travel including flying and driving company vehicles.
