About the Opportunity Lead Teacher Summer Program Reports To:Head of School Description__________________________________________________________________ Work Schedule This position covers summer sessions II-IX, June 1 – July 28.
8:00-4:00 Representative Duties Responsibilities include: Curriculum – The Lead Teacher facilitates the development and implementation of curriculum based in the best-available knowledge of children’s learning and linked to the Early Childhood foundations and California State Standards.
Communication – Serves as first point of contact/liaison for communication with parents/guardians of the children and with the other members of the Children’s School teaching team, and Administration.

Both written and oral communication skills are essential and valued.
Professionalism –Works effectively and collaboratively with colleagues, parents, students, and children within a diverse and multicultural environment.
Perform related duties as needed.
Requirements Two or more years recent successful classroom teaching experience Child Development Teacher Permit or equivalent education units Knowledge of and commitment to a constructivist, play-based model of education Demonstrated oral and written communication skills Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field Ability to exhibit strong service orientation for all levels of College constituencies and members of the public Ability to take appropriate steps to promote and sustain effective working relationships within a diverse multicultural environment Position is contingent upon fingerprinting/background check clearance and tuberculosis clearance.
