*Land of the Good *is a private co-working community located in a historic office building on 6+ gorgeous creekside acres in beautiful Freestone, just outside of Sebastopol.
We offer a 0-3 year-old onsite childcare program (with drop-in options available for older children) to help working parents maintain a close bond with their little ones while also honoring their professional responsibilities.
For example, parents are welcome to go and nurse as needed or just stop in for a cuddle or quick play break throughout the work day.
Unlike most commercial care, our care ratios are really small (1:3 for children under 2, 1:6 for children over 2) so both teachers and kids have a more relaxed and joyful care experience.
We opened in the summer of 2023 and enthusiastic word of mouth has brought us many new families each month, which is why we need your help expanding our teaching team as soon as possible!
Our educational philosophy draws upon Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and forest school principles, but most importantly offers a loving village-like environment in which little ones can safely and joyfully grow and learn about their world.
We are currently seeking a *Lead Teacher *for our care program (please see our other job posting if you do not meet all of these requirements but still want to join the team)! The Lead Teacher is responsible for on-site supervision, training, and management, as well as working with the Program Director to develop curriculum and maintain the classroom spaces.
Some of the *qualifications* for this position include but are not limited to the following:
* At least 22 years of age with a B.
A.
or equivalent required
* At least 10+ years of early childhood caregiving experience
* Early Childhood Education credits preferred
* Excellent communication skills
* Highly reliable with strong leadership skills
* Prior experience training or managing a collaborative team
* Kind and gentle approach to caregiving
* Commitment to nurturing diverse and inclusive spaces
* Provide proof of updated COVID-19 immunization card
* CPR and First Aid certification required
* Mandated Reporter certification required
