Position Summary We are seeking excellent candidates for the role of After School Staff : We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Part-Time After School Program Staff Member.
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the successful implementation and operation of our after-school program.
You will work closely with students, parents, and fellow staff members to provide a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children during their after-school hours.
This is a part-time position with anticipated consistent hours, Monday–Thursday: 2:30–6 p.
m.
and Friday: 2:00–6 p.
m.
when school is in session.
Job responsibilities: Assist in the planning and implementation of after-school activities, ensuring they align with the program's objectives and educational goals.
Supervise and engage students in various activities, including sports, arts and crafts, homework assistance, and other recreational activities.
Collaborate with program coordinators, other staff members, or members of the community to develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote learning and personal growth.
Maintain a safe and supportive environment for students, promoting positive behavior and resolving conflicts when necessary.
Provide homework assistance and academic support to students, helping them develop effective study habits and organizational skills.
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns or achievements.
Ensure the proper care and maintenance of program facilities, equipment, and materials used by students.
Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as required.
Adhere to all program policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to ensure the well-being and security of all participants.

Qualifications To be considered candidates should submit a resume and cover letter displaying their qualifications in the following areas: Passion for working with children and creating a positive impact on their lives.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with students, parents, and fellow staff members.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Patience, empathy, and the ability to relate to and engage with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
Detail-oriented, organized, and willing to take initiative.
Requires demonstrated and direct experience using a wide range of instructional technology tools including iPads, laptops, and Google Apps.
Must be a role model and maintain a high level of professionalism.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Must be available ( when school is in session) Mon-Thu 2:30-6:00pm; Fri 2:00-6:00pm Various full-day camps as needed throughout the year.
Times may vary.
Physical Requirements Regularly lifting or carrying 1-20 lbs.
