We are looking for a part time afternoon After School Instructor-Approximately 20-25 hours per week depending on need.
Responsibilities include:
Assist in the development and implementation of activities for children , Help maintain a safe and clean learning environment for all students, Supervise a mixed aged predominantly outdoor play based program, Communicate professionally with parents about child's day during pick up times, Closing duties including sweeping, taking out trash, sanitizing play areas and materials
-Requirements:
- Experience working with elementary aged children preferably in an after school or camp setting
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies fo supporting children
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
-Experience in facilitating group games, activities, crafts and story times.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting the growth and development of young children
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and handle challenging behaviors with calmness and professionalism
