Role Title: Extended Day Program (EDP) Staff / After-school Teacher
FLSA Status: Part-time Non-exempt
Reports to: Director of Extended Day Programming
Direct Reports: N/A
Role’s Main Purpose: The EDP Staff / After-school Teacher is responsible for developing and leading engaging after-school activities including both indoor and outdoor activities, snack time, and homework assistance; supervising students and responding to their needs and interests, and coordinating parent pick up.
This is a part-time hourly position with shifts varying between 2 – 6pm, Monday through Friday with summer months, holidays, and School breaks off.
Key Responsibilities:
Overtly support and act in accordance with the School’s mission and values
Maintain a safe yet fun environment for boys beyond the classroom; spend time outside on the roof play yard and in the gym, enjoy snacks and activities, and work on classroom assignments
Manage program transitions and student pick up
Provide a safe physical and emotional environment for all students; encouraging the boys to take initiative to solve problems and helping them investigate, ask questions and have fun
Communicate with families

Required Qualification and Experience:
High school diploma
Experience working with children, e.

, nanny, teacher, tutor, coach
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in education or applicable field
CPR, First Aid and AED certified
Classroom instruction or supervisory experience
Compensation and Benefits: Rate of pay is $22–$25 / hour, depending on level of experience; benefits include paid sick leave
