For nine years, my mom lived in the garden apartment with her cat, Elton, until she passed away several years ago.
Unfortunately, the couple who have been lovingly caring for him are moving, and there’s friction between one of our cats and Elton, so it’s not possible to bring him upstairs to live with us.
We are committed to ensuring Elton continues to live his best life in the same apartment and block that he calls home.
We cover all of Elton’s expenses including his food, treats, litter, flea treatment, toys, and vet care.
We’re optimally seeking the next resident(s) to be committed to living with and caring for Elton for several years at the least.
About Sir Elton cat (12 year old neutered boy tabby) I’m a very smart, interactive, and playful kitty.
I love physical affection and have a great appreciation for being cuddled in a blanket on your lap.
In the morning, I like to be let outside for fresh air and sunshine and I come back in before sundown and am kept inside during dark hours.
About you, our ideal resident(s) • Love cats and enthusiasm about caring for Elton.
• Observant of quiet hours on weeknights (10pm-6am) primarily since a resident upstairs is a teacher and is sleeping in those hours.
The other resident works from home full time on weekdays (9am-5pm) so a moderate noise level during those hours is appreciated.
The house is compact and noise travels between the floors so being respectful and communicating one another’s needs around schedules is important to us.
• Maintain an organized and sanitary home environment.
Regular cleaning maintenance and occasional deep cleaning is expected to provide Elton and the upstairs residents with a healthy home as the units share heat ducts and any issues in either unit are likely to impact the other.
