We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join the parent company Finance team in a newly created role reporting to the CZ Biohub Network Controller.
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining general accounting operations by controlling and verifying financial transactions.
What You'll Do Accounting Parent Company: Maintain rock-solid financial information that is accurate and insightful Integrate new policies and processes into existing accounting process Close the monthly books in a timely manner and produce quality financial GAAP reports, including: Proper cutoffs and accruals Journal entries Analyze and spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency Account Reconciliations Record Intercompany AR/AP transactions and issue necessary invoices to subsidiaries Fixed Asset Maintenance Assist as a backup for AP Process and maintain payroll for the Parent (Network) Entity Assist with the annual audit process and produce documentations required by auditors Assist with the preparation of workpapers for the annual tax filing Subsidiaries: Assist with reconciliation of Intercompany accounts Close coordination and partnership with all subsidiaries in the execution of accounting and finance protocols, strategies, and timelines.
Consolidation: Assist with consolidating financial statements Close the monthly books in a timely manner and produce quality financial GAAP reports.
Participate in monthly financial statement review meetings with subsidiaries.
Internal Controls and Systems: Maintain SOX-like processes and controls Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures Assist with testing and implementation of any new systems requirements Assist with identifying system efficiencies and establish process improvements What You'll Bring Essential – Bachelor's in accounting, finance, business or related field Minimum of 3 years in life science industry Deep knowledge of GAAP accounting Excellent analytical skills Proficient in MS Office, with very strong Excel skills Hands-on self-starter that can thrive in a deadline-driven environment Strong collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills Ability to problem-solve and also problem-avoid Impeccable ethics and integrity Credible representative of the Finance team and the Biohub Network Growth potential that could allow ascension within Finance or elsewhere in the Biohub Network Nice to have - Exposure to non-profit accounting Familiar with ERP systems for mid-size companies – especially experience with NetSuite One World The Chan Zuckerberg Biohub requires all employees, contractors, and interns, regardless of work location or type of role, to provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination, including a booster vaccine dose, if eligible, by their start date.

Compensation $122,000 - $154,000 New hires are typically hired into the lower portion of the range, enabling employee growth in the range over time.
To determine starting pay, we consider multiple job-related factors including a candidate's skills, education and experience, market demand, business needs, and internal parity.
