Job Title: Accounting Manager

Reports To: Company CFO
Established, growing, vertically integrated medical garment manufacturer and distributor is seeking an experienced, hands-on accounting manager.
It is the primary responsibility of the Accounting Manager to plan and organize resources to perform routine and scheduled accounting functions as well as to respond to customer and vendor inquiries.
The Accounting Manager ensures the accounting team is effectively trained in their assigned duties and their work is appropriately reviewed.
The Accounting Manager works to ensure processes are operating effectively and efficiently, implementing best practices and improvements in a standardized way across all finance-related functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1\.
Acting as a key member of the Executive Team to execute company financial policies and playing a leading role for accounting and finance.
2\.
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, AR, AP, payroll, and related.
compliance.
Establish and enforce accounting policies and procedures to maintain internal controls, provides guidance and supervises a team of two.
3\.
Lead and responsible for monthly, quarterly and yearly close processes and provide financial reports and schedules.
4\.
Lead the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Ensuring compliance with US GAAP and regulatory requirements.
5\.
Comply with federal, state, and local financial requirements by studying existing and new legislation and maintaining compliance.
6\.
Oversee independent audit process with the appointed CPA firm.

QUALIFICATIONS
1\.
Bachelors’ Degree in accounting, business accounting, or finance.
2\.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a portion of it being in a supervisory role.
3\.
Ability and willingness to maintain confidentiality.
4\.
Familiarity with accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures.
5\.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize efficiently.
6\.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience with other financial systems.
7\.
Ability to collaborate across functions.
8\.
Strong financial and general ledger accounting knowledge.
9\.
NetSuite experience a plus
