*Summary:* We are looking for a detail-oriented, self-motivated, team player to join Spaulding McCullough & Tansil LLP as an Accountant.
In this position, you will be responsible for performing a variety of general accounting support tasks in the Firm's accounting department with efficiency, a great degree of accuracy, and attention to detail.
This position requires you to work at our office in downtown Santa Rosa.

*Summary of Duties: *Duties for this position include the following and must be performed with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency while ensuring compliance with the Firm's Confidentiality Policy, including safeguarding confidential and personal information of clients and employees.

• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger • Reconcile payroll and employee benefits with general ledger • Process invoices received, obtain approval for payment, enter and post in QuickBooks/Caret • Scan invoices to A/P vendor folders on network • Verify and input invoices billable to clients into billing system • File vendor invoices in posted file until paid • Print, verify, and process internal check requests, enter in QuickBooks, print checks, obtain signatures, and distribute internally or post for mailing • Communicate appropriately with vendors and suppliers regarding vendor and payment issues • Obtain and file completed W-9s from vendors • Process client payments and trust deposits, verify amounts against each client matter, enter payments into QuickBooks and Caret, reconcile QuickBooks and Caret • Enter payments with distribution information onto Fee Distribution Excel spreadsheet • Pull trust invoices, enter and print trust checks and apply payments in QuickBooks, post in Caret, and record information in Excel spreadsheet • Communicate appropriately with clients regarding invoices and payments • Provide exemplary service to clients including but not limited to responding to client inquiries and requests quickly, efficiently and completely • Complete and provide W-9s as requested • Process and issue Weekly Fee Distribution reports • Prepare monthly A/R Hot List for Partners • Print bi-monthly A/R aging reports for attorneys • Email Daily Deposit List to partners and Of Counsel • Print and distribute quarterly working attorney reports • Verify, print and issue 1099s, and submit to IRS • Respond to attorney requests for fee, invoicing and payment information The range for this position is $65,000-$80,000 ($31.
