Lifehouse is hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist.

What you will do:
The Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day financial transactions including accounts payable, corporate credit card and reconciliations, and various other transactional issues.
The AP Specialist will ensure bills are accurate and paid on time, invoices received are authorized and will assist with monthly financial closings and annual audit work.
Other duties include:
Assemble and analyze invoices and check requests, verifying back-up and approvals
Determine general ledger coding and post invoices into Accufund accounting software
Process check runs and ACH and EFT payments per Lifehouse and vendor terms
Prepare weekly food checks, reconcile reports, and record necessary reclassifications
Reconcile and process monthly credit card statements and payments
Follow up with employees and vendors regarding payment and billing inquiries
Support the finance team in meeting month end closing deadlines
Prepare annual 1096 and 1099 forms, W9 compliance, and database management
Monitor employee vehicle insurance in mileage reimbursement process

What you will bring:
Knowledge of principles and practices of accountant payable processes and procedures
Excellent attention to details and accuracy
A highly degree of organization and the ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
Reliability and the ability to meet deadlines
Customer / client focus with strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
2+ years of accounting experience, preferable accounts payable experience
Proficient with fund accounting software, Google Suite, MS Office and advanced capabilities with Excel
