We are looking for a professional with 5+ years of experience.
Payroll knowledge is required, preferably in the construction area.
Desired general knowledge of how investments work in order to maintain bookkeeping transactions.
Required good knowledge of Excel.
Desired familiarity of income tax and tax package compilation work for individuals, partnerships, trusts and corporations.
Knowledge of QuickBooks for day-to-day transactions.

*PAYROLL DUTIES:*
Process weekly payroll for 60-100 salaried, hourly, and union employees.
Ensure timely and accurate deduction and payment for garnishments, distribute paychecks and/or paystubs.
Deposit weekly payroll taxes and 401(k) deductions
Generate certified payroll reports for DIR compliance
Process monthly/quarterly medical insurance reimbursement payments for qualified employees.
Prepare quarterly and annual payroll reports for various entities
Close the year-end records in the financial system and download new tax tables for payroll
Records keeping: Maintain accuracy of employees’ records in Spectrum, our payroll system.
Update non-union and union wages, WC classifications, job titles in accordance with the established policies and procedures.
Inquiries: Respond to employees’ payroll inquiries, research discrepancies, and resolve issues timely.
*ACCOUNTS PAYABLE DUTIES:*
Process vendor invoices in QuickBooks and upload daily issued checks into our bank's portal.
Collect credit card receipts and record credit card activities in QuickBooks
Resolve vendor issues as necessary.
Contact vendors to resolve problems/ disputes
*FAMILY INVESTMENTS PORTFOLIO *
Download monthly investment statements and record investment transactions in QuickBooks
Update family and Foundation investment portfolios taking data from the investment reports
Fill out investments subscription agreements paperwork, additions and process redemptions
Prepare monthly cashflow reports.
*FAMILY OFFICE & MISCELLANOUS*
Download monthly bank statements for various entities
Download K-1s and 1099s as they become available and reconcile to our records
Prepare 1099s, 1099s for various entities
Reconcile bank and credit card statements for various entities
Process monthly reimbursements from various entities
Copy and scan large volume of documents as needed

Payroll experience 5 years +
Bookkeeping experience 5 years +
Experience working for a construction company is desirable
Proficiency in Excel and MS Office
