* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Non-profit experience preferred

*RESPONSIBILITIES:*
Staff Accountant - Accounts Payable- is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of all accounts payable transactions for Progress Foundation and related entities.
The role reports to the Controller and works closely with other finance staff.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process all accounts payable transactions including vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and credit card statements
* Match invoices to purchase orders and ensure proper coding and approval of expenses
* Communicate with vendors and staff regarding invoice discrepancies, payment status, and other accounts payable related matters
* Reconcile accounts payable sub-ledger to the general ledger and resolve any discrepancies
* Maintain accurate and complete accounts payable records and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
* Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments
* Assist with month/quarter/year-end and close processes as needed.
* Perform other accounting duties as assigned by the Controller
