RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is a hands-on position responsible for supporting and performing varioustasks in the preparation and analysis of financial information, accountreconciliations, monthly closing process and preparation of financialstatements for review by the AR Manager.
This position performs various tasksrequired in the accounting department in the areas of transaction processing,accounts receivable collections and customer billing issues.
This position willpossess a working knowledge of various duties in the department sufficient toprovide a backup for accounts payable, cash receipts, collections, and accountsreceivable.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS | EDUCATION:
Must be able to work independently, make decisions, be highly organized,motivated, multi-task oriented, and resourceful.
Proficient in accountingcomputer software and basic knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Mustknow the 10 key by touch and the computer keyboard by touch.
The job performance of the position is measured by the following:
A.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS.
1.
Contact the customer for the collection of outstanding invoices daily.
2.
Send written communication via fax, e-mail, etc.
to resolve outstanding ordisputed invoices.
Daily.
3.
Research payment issues involving disputed deliveries, returns and creditswhich have or may result in delinquent balances.
Resolve issues quickly toprevent further aging of delinquent balances.
Daily.
4.
Prepare weekly client/management reports.
5.
Perform monthly billing process.
6.
Send accounts to Letter Series for both divisions of Redwood ToxicologyLaboratory.
7.
Perform customer master maintenance in the areas of billing information forboth divisions of Redwood Toxicology Laboratory.
Daily.
8.
Perform credit card processing daily.
9.
Enter cash receipts through the bank deposit for both divisions of RedwoodToxicology Laboratory daily.
10.
Provide backup support in various areas to the Accounting Supervisor.
11.
Perform adjustments to accounts on a weekly basis.
12.
Batching and processing invoices for the Biotech division daily.
13.
Document collection efforts and status of accounts.
14.
Complete as requested specific account analysis, month end proceduresincluded but not limited to statements, aging and ad-hoc reports.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Accounting department and an AA degree (or adequate business experience) in thearea of the essential job functions are required.
Ability to meet thedaily/weekly deadlines of the position in a consistently accurate fashion.
Manage the environment in a manner that requires the ability to prioritize, beself-motivated and clearly communicate the status of issues to the manager.
COMPETENCIES:

Pay: $21.
