Junior Accountant

Tom Duffy Company is seeking a Junior Accountant to join our team.
The Junior Accountant is responsible for the general accounting function including preparing journal entries, maintaining balance sheet schedules and ledgers and account and bank reconciliations.
Assisting with monthly closings and account analysis and supporting the Accounting Manager in carrying out the responsibilities of the accounting department.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Daily Bank Reconciliation Monitor and resolve bank issues including fee anomalies and check differences Post NSF Check to AR Account/Challenge any Credit Card Dispute Will be train as a back-up for Account Receivable Ordering Deposit Slip Reconciliation of Cash Book in K8 System Reconciliation of other GL account Assisting Branches with deposit and other questions related to Bank Transactions Extensive Analysis and reconciliation of Over and Short GL account Prepare analysis of accounts as requested Filling of Business License and Property Taxes Performs other duties as assigned Associates Degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent experience 1-3 years experience in an accounting role Attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in respect to all work Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
