Job Summary:
Reconcile and analyze general ledger accounts and financial statements.
Essential Job Duties:
Perform general ledger account reconciliations and research analysis for assigned accounts.
Responsible for daily cash reporting.
Ensure cash is deposited into Meyer’s bank accounts from the various payment processor, Shopify, Paypal, Affirm etc.
Prepare assigned journal entries by the month-end close deadline.
Verify that the daily transmissions received from CIT, our accounts receivable factoring company are posted to the GL to ensure that they balance.
Reconcile the Due from Factor account for Chargebacks and Credit backs and notify the differences to AR month end team.
Reconcile the CIT aging to the general ledger then to the CIT Statements
Handle and reconcile the Company Fixed asset accounts for 3 companies.
Monitor all the Capital purchase requests to ensure that the accounts are set up in Apprise and the assets are depreciated in accordance with the completion date reflected on the Capital project sheet.
File the Property taxes for 3 companies.
Work with the CA State board and different Counties to set up the seller’s permits for any new Meyer entities and the accounts to file the Property taxes.
Reconcile monthly sales tax returns for all states with Avalara, our tax software.
Maintain all business accounts with the department of revenue in other states for sales tax compliance purposes.
Assist the accounts payable group with coding when needed.
Assist the Sr.
Gen Accounting Manager as needed.
All other duties as directed by the Sr.
Gen.

Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a bachelor’s degree in business with emphasis in Accounting or equivalent.
Requires 4 years of experience as a Staff Accountant, manufacturing environment preferred.
Must possess strong computer skills with a high level of proficiency in spreadsheet programs (Excel).
Knowledge of Apprise software, Plex software, Word, Internet and e-mail preferred.
Must be detail oriented and possess the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Must possess organizational and problem-solving skills.
Must possess time management skills and be able to meet deadlines.
Must be able to communicate effectively in English both in verbal and written formats.
Must possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to interface with all levels of Meyer employees and outside vendors.
Must possess mental and physical capacities necessary to perform the job duties.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed primarily indoors.
Lighting is artificial.
Equipment used includes standard office equipment i.
e.
computer, telephone, adding machine, fax machine, printer and copier.
Physical demands include sitting, repetitive use of hands, grasping, fine dexterity, walking, standing, bending over, reaching overhead, crouching, kneeling, climbing, and lifting up to 10 lbs.
Hours and days are primarily Monday through Friday with some overtime and weekends required.
Position requires contact with some Meyer employees and outside vendors.
